Another great stay at Carree Cottage again. We would recommend the cottage to anyone looking for really good self-catering accommodation.
We had lovely walks to High Dam, Low Dam and Tarn Hows one day and also another great walk from the cottage to Grange-over-Sands, then on to Cartmel and back to the cottage, about 10 miles but a really lovely walk – Alana & Mark, Corby, Northamptonshire

We have had a lovely time, too short really, a very cosy cottage.
We enjoyed the walk to Cartmel and another around Humphrey Head in Morecambe Bay. Sampled the shrimps from just down the road and the Cartmel Sticky Toffee Pudding all washed down with the excellent beer from Cartmel Brewery, who could ask for more!
We also enjoyed the Engine pub (the local pub just a minute’s walk form the cottage) which is really dog friendly.

Lovely cottage and location. We have really enjoyed our stay at Carree Cottage.

We arrived late on Friday night, tired after a long week at work, to a lovely, lovely home-Carree Cottage.

Wow! What a great time! Lovely cosy cottage.
We love the lakes and we usually stay in Coniston but we were really impressed with the Cartmel area.

We have had a lovely week’s holiday at Carree Cottage. The weather has been very kind to us and we did some really good walks.

Lovely cosy cottage.
We loved the real fire, the big fireplace, the board games, meals out in garden and the really comfy beds.
Great location and the warm and sunny weather over the weekend was a real bonus – The Chin’s, Leeds, Malaysia & Sri Lanka

We have had a lovely 4 day short break-great location.
The cottage was clean, tidy and very homely.
We went on a great walk over Striding Edge and up to Helvellyn (England’s 3rd highest mountain!).
Cartmel village shop has great food and there are loads of activities to do close by to the cottage.

Lovely cottage and great location with lots of great walks nearby. The cottage has everything you need.
Can recommend The Engine Inn (the local pub 2 minutes’ walk away) for lovely food and friendly staff. We also enjoyed a good meal at The Pheasant Inn in Allithwaite (less than 5 minutes’ drive away).
