Really homely feel to the cottage and very comfy beds.

We loved the village of Cark in Cartmel – James & friends, Newcastle

Our 2nd stay in this lovely area and these cottages in Cark in Cartmel.

We’ve had a great weekend and a lovely Sunday lunch at the Kings Arms in Cartmel.

1st of September 2014

This was our first time in the Lake District.

Wonderful cottage and a wonderful part of the world.
Jasper our dog loved his walks down to Morecambe Bay every day and the fact EVERYWHERE is dog friendly!
Everything including the weather has been brilliant!

Thanks – Andy, Felicity and Jasper the Dalmatian, Chester

30th August 2014

We’ve had a wonderful week with a good share of sunshine so we were delighted!

The taster menu at L’Enclume (the 2 Michelin star restaurant in Cartmel) was divine, decadent and very extravagant but a really great experience.

We also enjoyed good food and great beer at the Engine Inn (the local village pub just a minute’s walk) – The Tutt family, Eastbourne, East Sussex

23rd August 2014

Lovely cottage, clean and well equipped for cooking and eating in.

We also had a lovely meal at the Rose & Crown (1 of the local pubs just 2 minutes’ walk away).

Our daughter Alice would love to have a padded window seat at home like the 1 she had in her room here.

Thank you very much – The Archer family, Newcastle-Upon Tyne

16th August 2014

This was our first visit here in summertime and we didn’t know what to expect. We had our fingers crossed the area wouldn’t be jam packed but it’s been just as gorgeous and peaceful as it has been on our other visits.

We enjoyed relaxing and taking our time to do things and the dogs and the walks as usual.

Thank you for another amazing time and no doubt we’ll be back at Easter again – June, Kayleigh and Jack & Ollie the spaniels, Sunderland

9th August 2014

It has been the loveliest holiday we have ever been on and made me really homesick for England (I’m originally from Lancashire).

The cottage is beautiful and we will definitely come back. Thank you – Becky, Emily & Rogier, Amsterdam, Netherlands -stayed for 2 weeks

7th July 2014

This was our 1st visit to Carree Cottage and it won’t be our last. All of Simon’s cottages are simply gorgeous and we are just as impressed with this one.

It was raining on the day we arrived but that gave us an excuse to light the fire. We then had 2 beautiful sun shinny days when we sat outside the Rose & Crown with a bottle of wine (1 of the local village pubs-just 2 minutes’ walk from the cottage) and watched the parachutists (floating down to Flookburgh airstrip) then moved back to the garden at Carree-stunning!

Dusty loved padding about in the garden.

We’re going to walk to Cartmel this afternoon and I’m working on planning our next visit to these wonderful cottages – Shona, Graham and Dusty, Chorley, Lancashire

27th June 2014

We enjoyed a relaxing stay here in Carree Cottage.

Cartmel village is well worth a visit and the Rose & Crown (1 of the 2 local village pubs just a 2 minutes’ walk away) and the Pheasant Inn (in Allithwaite-1 mile away) were excellent for food.

The cottage facilities were very good, thank you – Jon, Kate, Cal, Alan & Carole, Selby, North Yorkshire

11th April 2014

So glad to be back to be back here for another visit to such a beautiful cottage in a gorgeous location.

This was Ollie our dog’s first visit and he had a fab time but he is shattered.

We’ve yet to find anywhere else that compares to here which is why we keep coming back.

Thank you so much for a perfect break. Hope to be back soon and it was lovely to meet you – June, Kayleigh and our 2 spaniels, Sunderland
