Hi Simon,
We had a great time again and we thought that the garden area looked really good.
It was a very poignant time to be staying at Sawmill Cottage because we originally booked the cottage after seeing it on the Hairy Bikers. We spent a long time on the Saturday afternoon watching the Dave Day motorbike cavalcade and then in the evening we happened to turn on the TV to see the programme they had filmed in Sawmill Cottage. It was quite strange, sitting in the cottage and watching them in the cottage and garden.
We will be booking again. We may even try and squeeze in a long weekend before too long as we always find it so relaxing.

We had a lovely weekend here recently.
There is room for four couples. Beautiful rooms all ensuite. It has a lovely kitchen/dining area and a lovely sitting room.

We are home now after another fantastic weekend at Sawmill Cottage. It was absolutely perfect for the eight of us.
The weather was a bit mixed but that didn’t stop us from getting out and about. We walked round Tarn Hows and on Sunday walked to Manor House pub and had a beautiful lunch and walked back to the cottage
We hope to return to Sawmill Cottage in the future.

The cottage was fabulous for the 8 of us. It was beautifully presented and so spacious with our own bathrooms! The location was amazing and the river in spate was thrilling.
The children also had a great time.
Your recommendations were excellent. The Farmers Arms was very good ( a local pub with delicious food) but our favourite without a doubt was the Manor House Inn. We have never seen such enormous Yorkshire puddings for Sunday lunch! All 8 of us enjoyed the meal.
We will certainly use Holiday Cottages Cumbria again if this is the standard we can expect – Gordon Ferguson, Bearsden, East Dunbartonshire

We had a fabulous week. The cottage is idyllic, lovely gardens, and everything you need at hand, location is just superb, 10 mins and you are at Coniston Water, which our dogs loved.

Lovely stay had by all!
