We had a great time. The cottage was lovely and had everything we needed and more.
We were so lucky with the weather, we went to the beach at some point everyday and the only day it was a bit dreary, we had a big driving day, up to Buttermere and further out. It was the break, both my mum and me needed.
My dog, probably had the best time, she couldn’t believe her luck, being able to swim everyday. I think she’s quite gutted to be back home. She wouldn’t even get out of the car today, when I took her for a walk, although it was absolutely pouring hard with rain, so I was a little bit pleased.
Whether it will be next year, we’re not sure but we’d definitely love to come again.

We have had another fantastic holiday here! We are all worn out from our walks but very relaxed. It always feels like coming home when we return here.
As always we enjoyed walking to Cartmel and also had a fantastic, very hot day in Ambleside.
Thank you again Simon and Ailsa for another fab time and we’re sure we’ll be booking again for Easter – Kayleigh, June and Jack and Ollie (the spaniels), Sunderland

Thanks for a lovely, very comfortable stay.
Loved Cartmel and the cottage is great, very well equipped.

The sun shone for us on our honeymoon and we enjoyed many walks in the area.
An ideal base for touring the Lake District and a very cosy, well maintained cottage with everything we needed. 10/10 – Maureen, Jerry & Harley the Larodor, Harpenden, Hertfordshire

The weather has been absolutely spot on and gorgeous for walking through to Cartmel!

Our 2nd stay in this most cosy of cottages-loving the new pieces of furniture!
We were blessed with some perfect spring weather and we manged to do lots of walking.
We walked from the cottage to Humphrey Head through Allithwaite on Sunday-long walk but the views from the top were amazing. We also did lots of other local walks and also drove to Arnside to walk around The Knott.
Word of warning!-don’t visit Fat Flour Artisan Bakery (1 minutes’ walk from the cottage) unless you want to put on loads of weight!! Lots of tasty goodies! We have put in an order to take home with us too!
We thought the Engine Inn (1 minutes’ walk from the cottage) was the best local pub this time, wood beams, log fire and lots of fussing over our dog-perfect.
