We stayed at Weavers Cottage as a family of 8, including grandparents and 2 dogs, to celebrate our daughter’s 21st birthday.
The cottage is very nicely decorated and has a nice homely feel to it. It is well equipped with everything you would need for your stay and is kept immaculately clean.
The garden is lovely and set in a very peaceful location, only a short easy 5 minute walk from the village. The location is very good for some lovely walks both on the doorstep as well as around some more well known places in the surrounding area.
We spent most of our time in the large conservatory which is perfect for large gatherings.
We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend as suitable for all ages.
Simon at Holiday Cottages Cumbria was very helpful throughout our stay and was easily contactable for any queries.

Weavers Cottage is our absolute favourite place to stay in the Lake District.
We have been visiting here regularly for 6 years now and converted all of our family and a lot of our friends too!
The location is exceptional – 2 minutes to walk to a great pub (with beer garden), The Food Shed and a convenience store and then a further 5 mins and you’re in the very centre of Cartmel.
The cottage is stunning inside with high spec furnishings and beautiful touches throughout.
The large open plan kitchen is always the hub of our holidays and the landscaped wraparound garden (with off-road parking for four cars!) is something we haven’t come across anywhere else in the village.
We have two Labradors and a baby and Weavers Cottage caters for them all perfectly whilst somehow managing to remain pristine and pet-hair free each time we arrive. The housekeepers clearly work their magic between guests and the little extras such as milk, wine, biscuits and the wonderful Christmas Tree in December mean that as soon as you open the front door you feel at home.
The booking system is seamless and any issues with the property are always resolved promptly. We cannot recommend this place highly enough! – Jennie Williams, Worsley, Greater Manchester

Fab location for walking into the centre of the village. Wouldn’t change a thing.

We had an AMAZING Xmas break. The cottage was fantastic and exceeded our expectations. I have rarely stayed anywhere in this country that has been of that standard and finish. I renovate houses myself and I was blown away with the finish for a holiday accommodation.

After staying at Weavers Cottage, we have now stayed at all the holiday homes that Simon provides.
All have their great features, great Michelin star restaurants on the door step, inns with great beers and food, the hills and fells for walking, local shops etc.
For us, the love of the Lake District and Simon and his staff’s attention to detail in all the homes we have stayed in is what keeps us coming back.
Simon and his staff without doubt, really pull out all the stops to make sure you and your family have a great holiday.
