Congratulations to Simon Rogan at L’Enclume, Cartmel

A huge congratulations to Simon Rogan from L’Enclume in Cartmel who had 100% success with all 4 of his wonderful dishes on the BBC’s ‘Great British Menu’ 2012. Our local Michelin starred chef achieved the impossible and received huge praise from the judges who choose all of Simon’s dishes in all 4 rounds to go through to the final day. This culminated with Simon’s exquisite desert of ‘poached pears, atsina cress snow, sweet cheese ice cream and rosehip syrup’ being chosen as the overall best desert and was then selected for the Olympic Banquet in the final program. Simon’s 4 course winning menu is now being served throughout the summer at his sister restaurant, Rogan & Company in Cartmel.
