The Lake District is open again

15th April 2021

This is such an exciting time as we come to the end of another lockdown.

2020 was a really tough year due to the global pandemic and 2021 started off in the same manner.

Now, as we are granted at least some of our ‘freedom’ back, the glorious and spectacular English Lake District is opening its arms to welcome you.

Fresh, pure air, unforgettable views, a natural tapestry of mountains, fells and lakes. Whether you’re hoping to visit for the 1st time or the 50th time, this very special part of the world is open again to inspire, invigorate and enchant you.

Cumbria and the Lake District is home to 1 of the world’s most beautiful landscapes. Within this landscape is a rich heritage of historic towns, traditional villages, ancient dry-stone walls and stunning views around every corner. The local folk are also often described as the friendliest people in England and there’s a real feeling of relaxation everywhere you go.

We’re open again! Visitors are returning, self-catering holiday cottages are open. Pubs, cafes and restaurants are serving food and drinks outdoors and it’s not long until hotels and B&B’s will reopen coupled with the full opening of pubs, cafes and restaurants – scheduled for the 17th of May.
