Holiday Cottages Cumbria.com is a small family run business offering 5 luxury self catering properties in 2 different locations in the English Lake District.

We offer 4 luxury cottages located in the beautiful and picturesque Cartmel valley in the southern Lake District that sleep 2 to 6 people, plus a luxurious, large Cumbrian country house with 4 en-suite double bedrooms that sleeps up to 8 people located in a stunning, secluded and peaceful location in the north eastern Lake District overlooking the lovely Lowther Valley and only 1 mile from Haweswater.

Our charming and luxurious self catering cottages are perfect for couples, large & small families and are all lovingly furnished, equipped and maintained to a very high standard. Each cottage is immaculately presented with lots of ‘thoughtful extras’ providing luxury holiday accommodation all year round.

The Lake District is the UK’s premier holiday destination throughout all 4 seasons and our cottages are all located in peaceful and relaxing settings in either village or countryside locations away from the more crowded areas but still only a short drive to the Lake District’s top attractions, sights and views. The breathtaking Lake District is the country’s largest adventure playground with a wide variety of activities available for people of all ages including great walks from the doorstep in some of the UK’s most stunning scenery. Cumbria’s diverse and natural landscapes are totally unique and boast England’s 5 highest mountains, the deepest & largest lakes and some of northern England’s most beautiful coastline too.

Self Catering in Cumbria  

All 5 of our Lake District Cottages have an abundance of great places to eat & drink locally including Michelin starred restaurants, award winning cafés, plenty of quintessential Lakeland country pubs and a great variety of weekly country markets.

Large groups can utilise 2 cottages next door to each other that can provide accommodation for up to 12 people and a 3rd cottage located separately across the courtyard enables groups of up to 17 people to be located in the same area. Our most luxurious cottage, Rose Farm sleeps up to 8 people offers an extremely high level of privacy in a stunning location.
