Sky Diving over Morecambe Bay

Image of sky divers over Morceambe Bay, Lake District

12th July 2018

Great photo of Morecambe Bay and the Leven Estuary taken by our RAF sky diving guests that stayed at Bridgelands Cottage last weekend.

They stayed at Bridgelands Cottage whilst attending a sky dive formation competition at nearby Flookburgh airfield.

It looks like the tide was just coming into the bay as it heads towards Flookburgh, Cark in Cartmel and the river Leven.

To the right you can see the viaduct on the Manchester to Barrow railway as it crosses over the river Leven.

At the bottom of the image, you can just see the shoreline of the bay at Cark in Cartmel.

At the top of the picture you see the outskirts of the lovely south Lake District market town of Ulverston.

The 2 RAF sky diving teams came 2nd and third. Well done lads!
