Lake District Cottages, Cumbria
Welcome to Holidaycottagescumbria.com. We offer 4 individually owned, luxury Lake District cottages and a stunning 16th century manor house, Hardcragg Hall. All our properties are located in the South Lakes area of Cumbria and are ideal for couples, families and large groups looking for a luxury holiday cottage or exclusive self catering accommodation.

Large groups of friends, family or wedding guests will love the sheer luxury & sumptuous accommodation of Hardcragg Hall that sleeps up to 14 people. Large group bookings of up to 17 people can also be catered for in 3 separate cottages that are located close to each other.
All of our properties are furnished and equipped to a very high standard and are all immaculately presented with lots of ‘thoughtful extras’, providing high class self catering holiday accommodation all year round. Almost everything stays open throughout the winter months in our area of the South Lakes and many of the Lake District's top attractions are within easy reach.
All our holiday homes are located in beautiful settings and are all close to Cartmel village. Cartmel is the oldest and most picturesque village in South Lakeland, famous for its cobbled streets and alleyways, boutique shops, sticky toffee pudding, Cartmel Priory (circa 1189) and 6 times a year the glorious Cartmel Races are held at the spectacular village racecourse which is set against the backdrop of the beautiful fells and mountains of the English Lake District. Cartmel village and the steeplechase racecourse are now a very popular choice for Lake District weddings.
The surrounding countryside of the Lake District Peninsulas, the vast tidal sands of Morecambe Bay and the Cumbrian coast offer a wide variety of great walks and a huge choice of recreation, adventure and activities for everyone of all ages. All of our cottages are all ideally located for walking, cycling and many other activity and adventure holidays.
This area of the South Lakes has an abundance of great places to eat and drink including superb fine dining & Michelin starred restaurants, award winning cafés and plenty of quintessential Lakeland country pubs. You will also find an abundance of wonderful local produce available and a great variety of local, daily and weekly country markets.
Each one of our cottages are conveniently located within a 1-2 minute walk of a great village pub that serves first-class food, welcome families, walkers (muddy boots and all!) and is dog friendly too. Dogs and pets are welcomed at all 5 of our holiday homes.
