Holidaycottagescumbria.com is owned, managed, and run by Simon Cleasby with the help of a team of good housekeepers, and maintenance staff. Simon is a knowledgeable local Cumbrian (nee Westmorland) with a huge passion for the Lake District and Cumbria. Simon travelled and worked his way around the different continents for a few years before coming back to live in the South Lakes. Simon is keen to share his knowledge of the local area and takes great pride in providing a quality of service rarely found these days. Our links page below has links to a wealth of informative web sites that have been specially chosen for the enjoyment of those wanting to make the most out of Cumbria, The Lake District and this wonderful corner of North West England.

We have provided each cottage with a folder containing many of our favourite walks and drives around the Lake District and also included details of many of the great tourist attractions in the South Lakes area as well as details of some of our favourite places to eat and buy great local produce.

We are very passionate about our local Lakeland and North Lancashire produce and buy the majority of our fresh, seasonal produce direct from the some of the wonderful local suppliers, farmers and farm shops we have in the area. We will send you a list of our favourites before the start of your holiday, many of which are included on our links page too.
